Hello, I’m Tijo Thankachan, a passionate film editor and director dedicated to crafting compelling narratives. Originally from Anchal, Kollam, Kerala, India, my journey into the world of cinema began with a Multimedia education at St. Joseph College of Communication, which laid the foundation for my creative pursuits in filmmaking. I started my career in the media industry with an internship at Kairali TV, where I explored the intricacies of editing. This was followed by a graphic design internship that feature broadened my creative skills. In 2016, I worked as a sound engineer at Media Village Radio 90.8 FM, where I enhanced my sound editing and design skills while working on radio programs and advertisements. In 2017, I joined 24AM Studios, gaining invaluable experience and insights into the film industry. My role as a visual editor and sound designer at Alphalux Mediahub in 2018 allowed me to work on feature films, music videos, documentaries, and commercials, refining my technical expertise and storytelling abilities. In 2019, I founded Miniwood Studios, specializing in ad filmmaking and crafting visually compelling content for clients. In 2020, I collaborated with Media Village Studios, where I served as an editor, director of photography (DOP), and program producer. I contributed to their channel, Media Village TV & MAC TV by working on various creative projects such as documentaries, music videos, TV programs, promos, live telecasting, and news. Currently, I am collaborating with Auteurist Films as an editor, continuing my journey in creating impactful cinematic experiences. My portfolio includes notable works such as Teresa Had A Dream, Udanadi Mangalayam, Two Men Army, and Kerala Express. My focus remains on crafting cohesive narratives that resonate emotionally with audiences worldwide.
